The Project was designed to heighten awareness of the history and heritage of the rural area and provide a focal point to promote  activities within the community.
The aim was to promote a better working realtionship between groups in the area and as a result increase civic pride throughout the neighbourhood. 
This project was part of a scheme that involved three other villages in the are: Carnwath, Carstairs village and Carstairs Junction.
Forth Youth Clubs contribution to the project was to make the mosaics for the Fair Share Signage Project.
